Health Check-in

Are you at risk of COPD?

More than 380,000 people living in Ireland have COPD, but more than 170,000 people don’t know that they have it.

Are you one of those missing thousands? Please take this 5 question health check in to find out if you are at risk of COPD, it takes less than a minute.

The risk screener is kindly provided by the COPD Foundation in the USA.

Click here to check if are at risk of COPD (you will be directed to the risk screener on a new tab).

After completing the 5 questions please return to our page for further information or if you would like to talk about your results you can contact COPD Support Ireland on 01 283350.

If your total score is 5 or more, your breathing problems may be caused by chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The higher your score, the more likely you are to have COPD.

If you are experiencing problems with your breathing, please share your answers to the five question screener with your healthcare professional (HCP). Only your HCP can decide if you have COPD. Your HCP can also help evaluate your breathing problems by performing a breathing test, also known as spirometry.

Call your HCP today to make an appointment to see if you may be at risk for COPD. Remember, when speaking to your HCP, be honest and open in describing your symptoms and explain how your breathing problem affect your activity level on a daily basis.

You can review your responses and print your results.

We would like to thank our sponsors A. Menarini and GlaxoSmithKline. In addition, we would like to thank our collaborators, the Irish Pharmacy Union (IPU) and the COPD Clinical Program.
