This year we’re again aiming to highlight the important role exercise plays in improving quality of life for COPD patients, and to raise much-needed funds for COPD Support Ireland,” he said.

According to Bernie Murphy, Executive Director of COPD Support Ireland:

“We are delighted to once again be a part of this wonderful initiative to raise awareness of COPD and support essential services around the country. Last year’s funds helped support Our COPD and Me exercise programmes, patient information for those newly diagnosed with COPD, our advocacy services, the establishment of new local COPD Support Groups and research on the impact of living with COPD.

“We would like to encourage cyclists to take up this challenge and journey with us on the road to improving the quality of life for those suffering with COPD.”

Participants must pay €50 to enter the cycle and then raise a minimum of €100 for COPD Support Ireland. For each participant that meets the fundraising target, A. Menarini will make an additional donation to COPD Support Ireland.

Interest in the event is expected to be even higher than last year, so early registration is encouraged in order to avoid disappointment.
